3 EASY OAT MILK ICED COFFEE RECIPES TO KEEP YOU FRESH AND HEALTHY ALL SUMMER

Oat milk is slowly but surely replacing dairy milk in coffee shops and baristas swear by it! Whether you’re lactose-intolerant, vegan, or just want to drink healthier coffee, oat milk is a great substitute with tons of nutrients and dietary fiber.

There are many oat milk brands out there, but not all are the same. Some are too watery and diluted, and others are bland. You want a creamy, smooth texture without it tasting like cereal or grains. Also, plant-based milks like oat milk contain little to no fat, which is essential for making froth.

The good news is – you can make your own oat milk at home and experiment until you get the perfect result. Some oat milk brands are barista-approved, which means they’re fortified and good for latte art!

These recipes for ice-cold oat milk coffee are simple, easy, and refreshing. Just what you need when you’re craving a healthy pick-me-up on a hot summer day!

EASY OAT MILK ICED LATTE

For this simple iced latte, you’ll need some strong freshly brewed Sträva coffee and your favorite brand of oat milk. We recommend our Strength Signature Roast with sweet notes of milk chocolate and pink starburst.

In a container, mix the milk and sweetener to combine and set aside. Fill two glasses with ice and pour the milk and then pour the coffee over very slowly. Don’t stir if you want to create layers. Serve immediately.

Sträva tip: If you want to froth the milk, use your French press. Move the handle quickly up and down until the milk starts to froth. If using frothed milk, chill the coffee beforehand and pour it first, and then add the milk on top.

OAT MILK MOCHA FRAPUCCINO

You don’t need to go to a coffee shop to get a Mocha Frappuccino! Now you can make one at home and have control over all the ingredients that go into it.

For this recipe, we recommend the Sträva Courage Signature espresso with notes of cocoa, raw sugar, and black cherries.

Servings: 2

Ingredients:

  • 4 shots of Sträva Courage Signature espresso (chilled)
  • ½ - 1 cup of oat milk, chilled (or use chocolate-flavored oat milk)
  • 1 tbsp. sweetener of choice
  • 2 tbsp. cocoa powder or chocolate syrup (reduce or omit if using chocolate-flavored oat milk)
  • Ice cubes
  • Whipped cream (optional)

Instructions:

In a high-speed blender, add the ice and coffee, and blend on high to crush the ice. Add the milk, sweetener, and cocoa powder/chocolate syrup. Keep blending until the texture is smooth and lump-free. Serve immediately and top off with whipped cream and chocolate syrup.

Sträva tip: If you don’t have an espresso machine at home, use regular coffee but use less water to make it stronger.

VANILLA OAT MILK COLD BREW COFFEE

Cold brew is the easiest, most refreshing coffee to make in the summer, and it’s less acidic than hot coffee. When mixed with vanilla oat milk, you’re getting twice the treat and triple the taste!

Ingredients:

  • ½ cup of coarsely ground Sträva Focus
  • 2 cups of filtered water
  • ½ cup of oat milk (or vanilla-flavored oat milk)
  • ½ tsp. vanilla extract or vanilla syrup (omit if using flavored oat milk)
  • Sweetener (optional)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions:

Grind the coffee beans and transfer them into an airtight container. Add water and stir to combine. Leave in the fridge overnight for at least 12 hours, but aim for 16-20. Strain the coffee concentrate using a nut milk bag or cheesecloth. Fill two glasses with ice, pour the coffee, add oat milk and sweetener, and stir to combine. Serve immediately.
