REFRESHING MINT ICED COFFEE
If you like the taste of mojito, but also need a dose of caffeine, this refreshing mint iced coffee recipe is for you.
It’s great for an after-work pick-me-up, and if you make it with our Sträva Peace & Wellness CBD-infused beans, you’re guaranteed a healthy energy boost.
- 2 cups of Sträva Max Strength infused with 500 mg CBD (chilled)
- Fresh mint leaves (chopped) + a few whole leaves for garnish
- 1-2 tsp. sugar (granulated, brown, or coconut sugar)
- ½ cup milk or creamer of choice
- Ice cubes
- Cocktail shaker or a container with a tight lid
In a cocktail shaker, add the sugar and mint leaves and shake until the leaves release their natural oils. Add the coffee, milk, and ice, and shake vigorously. Strain the coffee into ice-filled glasses and garnish with fresh mint leaves.
Sträva tip: Fresh mint leaves may make the coffee slightly bitter, so be careful with the amount you add. Alternatively, make a simple mint-infused syrup with water and sweetener to add mint flavor your coffee.
CALMING LAVENDER VANILLA ICED COFFEE
Lavender is known for its powerful relaxing properties, so it seems counterintuitive to use it in coffee. However, paired with the right coffee, it can help reduce jitters, and have a calming effect on you.
- 2 cups of Sträva Intro Strength Decaf coffee infused with 60 mg CBD (chilled)
- 2 fresh lavender sprigs (or ½ - 1 tbsp. dried culinary lavender)
- ¼ cup coconut milk
- ¼ tsp. organic vanilla extract or the beans of 1 vanilla pod
- Sweetener (optional)
- Ice cubes
In a small pot, bring the coconut milk to a simmer and add the sweetener, lavender, and vanilla. Stir until well incorporated. Remove from heat, cover, and let sit for 15 minutes before straining.
Fill two glasses with ice, pour the chilled coffee, and add the lavender creamer. Stir to combine. Garnish with fresh lavender sprigs.
Sträva tip: Grind a pinch of dried lavender buds with your coffee beans to add a calming flavor to your morning cup.
ROSEMARY-INFUSED ICED LATTE
Rosemary is typically a culinary herb that can transform any dish, but it works surprisingly well with coffee due to its mildly aromatic essential oils.
- 2 shots of Sträva Courage Signature espresso
- 1 cup of milk of choice (chilled)
- 1 fresh rosemary twig + ½ twig for garnish
- Ice cubes
- Sweetener (optional)
Blend the rosemary leaves together with the coffee beans and make espresso. For a milder flavor, add fewer rosemary leaves. Next, fill two glasses halfway with ice and add the milk and sweetener. Pour the espresso slowly to create a separate layer. Garnish with half a rosemary twig. Serve immediately.
Sträva tip: If you don’t have fresh rosemary, you can use dried rosemary seasoning or make a simple rosemary-infused syrup with sugar and water.
